How To Stay Warm Yet Stylish In Winter

Winter is a wonderfully cosy time and there’s nothing better than snuggling up in your favourite woolly jumper, leggings and the thickest socks you can find, keeping the terrible weather at bay no matter what.

But, all too often, we find ourselves sacrificing style for comfort at this time of year, choosing to layer up against the wind, rain and snow, instead of satisfying the sartorial gods.

The good news, however, is that it certainly doesn’t have to be this way and you can easily keep yourself warm and snug while looking haute couture all at the same time.

How? Well, we’re glad you asked! Take a look at some of our top winter style pointers right here to help you weather the storm and make it to spring in serious style. Enjoy!

Ultra-long cardigans

We love cardigans and winter knitwear but they can look a little mumsy if you’re not careful, so go for a long-sleeved full-length number to give your outfit a bit of added pizzazz without having to worry that the frostbite will get you.

Lug soles

There’s nothing worse than slipping and sliding your way through winter, but you can get around this issue by investing in a smart pair of boots with lug soles. These soles are made from thick rubber and have deep patterned indentations in them to ensure you get great grip no matter what.

You can find all sorts of different boots with these soles, everything from our favourite Chelsea boots to low-heeled rain boots. Whatever floats your boat!

Sunglasses

Just because the summer sun has bid us adieu for another year doesn’t mean we can’t don our favourite pair of sunnies. Winter sun can be harsh on our eyes, so put your favourite pair of accessories in your bag to give your look an instant uplift.

Classic camel

As for winter shades, nothing does it better than classic camel colours. You can layer up to your heart’s content, pull your favourite camel coat on over the top and voila! You’re ready to hit the catwalk!
