How To Find Your Personal Sense Of Style: 3 Top Tips

One of the best channels for self-expression is, of course, your wardrobe. Developing a unique sense of style can really help you feel connected to yourself, giving you lots of confidence as you go about your day, safe in the knowledge that you look and feel fantastic!

But it’s often easier said than done to work out what you like and what you don’t, as well as what cuts and colours suit you, particularly when the fashion marketplace is so very saturated with so many options that are constantly changing and evolving. It can be very overwhelming!

To help you work it all out so you can design the wardrobe of your dreams, here are just a couple of hints and tips from the Love Faith Hope team. Happy shopping!

Build a mood board

Before you even hit the high street, you’d be well served by putting together a mood board of looks you like. This will help you build up a better idea of the kind of style you’re most drawn to, so that when you do go shopping you can gravitate towards these looks and won’t be so distracted by clothes that ultimately don’t speak to your soul.

Think style over trend

Picking out classically stylish items of clothing will help you devise a style that lasts a lifetime, rather than one that needs to be updated every three months or so.

Go through the closet

It can be helpful to go through your wardrobe and take an audit of what’s in there, clearing out anything you don’t like. Always make a note of what you’re no longer keen on and why you’ve lost interest in it, as this will help you make decisions about future sartorial purchases.
